Ripstop Polyester (RS)

... blijft beste keus als u de tent gebruik tijdens trektochten of kampeervakanties in slechte weersomstandigheden. Het is het lichtste materiaal en is heel snel weer droog. In combinatie met de ongeëvenaarde ventilatie van onze ripstop polyester serie, presteert dit materiaal zeer goed gegeven de lagere prijs van vergelijkbare tenten in TC en katoen.
Trektochten en slechte weersomstandigheden. Beste ruimte/gewicht ratio.

Technical Cotton (TC)

... werd in 2004 geïntroduceerd. Het enorme succes van tenten in TC maakte de weg vrij voor de nieuwe collectie in lichtgewicht katoen. TC is samengesteld uit katoen en polyester en combineert het beste uit beide materialen. TC tenten hebben een betere UV bestendigheid dan ristop polyester. Ze hebben ook een beter leefklimaat vergeleken met polyester tenten. Tenten van TC hebben een PU coating en zijn niet ademend. Als gevolg van deze coating presteren zij beter onder zware en natte omstandigheden dan katoenen tenten.
Gematigde temperaturen met regen en zon.

Light Weight Cotton (LWC)

...vind je sinds 2006 bij Eureka! Tussen alle moderne (deels superlichte) pure synthetische tentmaterialen lijkt katoen nogal nostalgisch. Als je het op de keper beschouwt zijn er een paar goede argumenten voor deze kwaliteit. Alles hangt af van de manier waarop de tent wordt gebruikt.
Katoen zwelt op, zodra ‘t nat wordt en daarmee dicht het weefsel zich. Daarnaast is katoen (ook zonder coating) zeer UV bestendig. Dat betekent dat wanneer u uw basis naar het Zuiden verplaatst en de tent gedurende langere tijd aan sterk zonlicht bloot gesteld wordt, voordeel heeft aan katoen. Daarnaast heerst er in een katoenen tent een aanmerkelijk prettiger leefklimaat dan in kunststof tenten. Katoen heeft een 100% ademend vermogen. Wel is de prijs hoger dan vergelijkbare tenten in TC of polyester.
Hoge temperaturen, zonnige condities en weinig regen.

Uncoated Technical Cotton (UTC)

... Ongecoat technisch katoen, nieuw materiaal in Eureka!s collectie. Heeft hetzelfde ademend vermogen als lichtgewicht katoen.Heeft een zwaarder gewicht en is daardoor geschikt als tent vooreen vaste standplaats.
Uitstekend bij hoge temperaturen en als standplaats tent, minder geschikt voor trektochten in slecht weer.

Seamless Extrusion	Sheet Welding
Though costly, Eureka! tents only use the best aluminium tent poles with Seamless Extrusion technology, manufactured by the world best tent pole supplier. This technology insures uniform microstructure of aluminium, which lays foundation of the strong construction of our tents. We DO NOT use Sheet Welding manufacturing method, because its weakness is a big problem (bending disturbs microstructure, therefore weakens aluminium poles). It is however widely used in producing lower value tent poles because it is a very efficient and economical process.
Tent Pole Types
Press - Fit poles Conventional tent poles used to use either glue or crimping for fixing joint / ferrule into the main tube. However, both glue and crimping cause failure sometimes for many different reasons. In order to make sure the joint and the main tube are securely fixed without occasional failure, 'press-fit' method is used. Though it's a difficult method in manufacturing, our supplier successfully manages total +/- 0.01 tolerance of the male and female tolerance for production.
Combination poles These poles allow different diameter poles to be used without creating stress-riser. This is the most strength - cost effective way of building a strong large family tent. In selecting different diameter poles to be used, the 'bending stiffness and maximum moment before yielding start' of the poles are carefully calculated and tested.
Featherlite The first and the original Featherlite series. In order to get the right balance between a main tube and a joint, one end had to be swaged just as much to maintain proper bending stiffness and expand the other end to fit the swaged end in.
Featherlite SL Featherlite SL is the latest family of Featherlite series. It combines features of original Featherlite, Featherlite SL and a combination pole. Featherlite SL enables RC- Reverse Combi - technology to be applied without creating a weak joint.
